What is KINGAI Security?

KINGAI Security is a Windows and Android security product focused on file/app scanning, explainable risk findings, quarantine/recovery and verifiable threat-intelligence updates.

Is KINGAI Security an antivirus?

It provides antivirus-style scanning and threat-handling capabilities, but the exact protection model differs by platform. Windows realtime protection is currently user-space monitoring, while Android focuses on app/APK/file scanning plus DNS-only web protection.

Is it Commercial Stable now?

No. Windows 0.4.0 and Android 0.1.0 are current Production Candidates. Commercial Stable remains blocked until exact-SHA CI, signing, production-feed, real-device and other platform evidence gates pass.

Does KINGAI Security replace Microsoft Defender?

Not currently. The Windows release process includes Defender coexistence validation, and this site does not claim kernel-level or full-disk interception that has not been implemented.

Can I scan one suspicious file?

Yes. The product design includes single-file scanning, and Windows also includes folder scanning while Android includes APK/file scan flows.

What happens to suspicious files?

They can be quarantined for safer review. The quarantine design verifies payload identity during recovery instead of treating restore as a blind file move.

What does Limited or Unknown mean?

It means the product could not fully inspect the content or did not have production-grade intelligence coverage. KINGAI Security avoids turning incomplete inspection into a “safe” result.

Does Android read encrypted HTTPS traffic?

No. Android web protection is DNS-only through a local VPN and does not install a certificate authority or decrypt HTTPS traffic.

How are threat-intelligence updates protected?

Windows uses signed application/Threat Pack manifests and Android uses ECDSA P-256 signed Threat DB manifests, with expiry, version and rollback controls appropriate to each feed.

Does KINGAI Security use cloud reputation or AI malware detection?

Those capabilities are not presented as current production protections unless they are separately implemented and validated. The product roadmap may evolve, but roadmap is not shipping capability.

Which Android versions are targeted?

The current Android project uses minSdk 26 and targetSdk 37, with separate Play and Direct distribution flavors.

How do I get a verified installer?

Use the official download center at aq.kingai.work. It will only present Commercial Stable artifacts after the release pipeline produces properly signed and checksummed builds.
